Salina Airport Hires Busboom and Rauh Construction Company to Build New Hangar and Office Complex
The Salina Airport Authority has engaged Busboom
and Rauh Construction Company to build its new
69,000-square-foot hangar and office complex in
anticipation of continued growth in the aviation
markets it serves.
"The Salina Airport Authority is constructing all new
hangar and office facilities as a key element of our
long-term growth strategy," says Executive Director
Tim Rogers, A.A.E. "These new aviation facilities will
be available for growth of existing industry and for new
industry at the SLN Aviation Service Center."
The 69,000-square-foot modern hangar complex will
feature 41,400-square-feet of hangar space, 22,600-
square-feet of multi-purpose office space and 5,000-
square-feet of customer service area. The hangar will
be able to accommodate a 100-foot wingspan and 28-
foot tail height.

| Schweizer Helicopter Sales and Maintenance Business to Open in SLN Aviation Service Center |

Within the next couple of weeks, the SLN Aviation
Service Center will be able to add two newly
renovated hangars with office space to the list of
many assets the support complex has to offer. Moving
into one of the newly renovated spaces will be Steve
Young and his Schweizer Helicopter Sales and
Maintenance Business. Young's company is
Helicopter Research and Development or HRAD
Group, LLC.

The Air Force Reserve's 442nd Fighter Wing of
Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, announced that
Salina, Kans. will be the host for Hawgsmoke 2008, a
bennial gathering of A-10 Thunderbolt II pilots from
the active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air
National Guard scheduled for Oct. 15-17, 2008.

The Salina Airport Authority board of directors met at
8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007.
During the September meeting the board approved
the low bid by Busboom & Rauh for construction of
Hangar No. 600.
