Runway 17-35 Open for Business

Runway 17-35 opened on Monday, November 10, 2008. Both connecting Taxiway B and connecting Taxiway A South were also opened. Taxiway A will be closed from Taxiway C to Taxiway B and from the south connecting Taxiway A to Taxiway B.

The ILS system is up and running as of 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008.

    The City of Salina's new CityGo passenger bus service has begun and includes three stops at the Salina Airport Industrial Center.

    "The new bus sytem is an excellent resource for the Airport Industrial Center employers and their employees," said Tim Rogers, A.A.E. executive director of the Salina Airport Authority.

  • November Air Traffic Control Tower Update
  • The tower enjoyed working with the Hawgsmoke group and the challenge of getting the traffic in and out with the competition going.

    Runway 17-35 will close at noon on Monday, November 3, 2008. After 3-5 days, runway 17-35 will reopen completely with ILS.
