Hangar 600 begins to rise

The Hangar 600 project has made visible progress in the last month with vertical metal work and masonry.

Having the project completed so it can be occupied in October 2008 is the challenge everyone is working with and everyone is optimistic it can be accomplished, according to Don Marrs, AIA, and Hangar 600 architect.

The footprint of the $6 million hangar project can now be seen as the construction progresses. The 69,000- square-foot modern hangar complex will feature 41,400-square-feet of hangar space, 22,600- square-feet of multi-purpose office space and 5,000- square-feet of customer service area. The hangar will be able to accommodate a 100-foot wingspan and 28- foot tail height.
