Revised Ready Date - Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer Record Attempt

Salina Airport Authority Advises

Salina, Kan. Dec 17, 2004 Please be advised that early February 2005, is the revised ready date for the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer first solo, non-stop, non-refueled around-the-world record attempt that will launch from and land at the Salina Municipal Airport, known as "America's Fuel Stop."

The Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer aircraft is scheduled to arrive in Salina, Kansas, yet this year from Mojave Airport, California. We intend to notify regional and local media of the expected arrival for the aircraft.

Meanwhile, work is continuing to prepare K-State Salina facilities for use as Mission Control for the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer record attempt.
