Raytheon Aircraft Company to Add 55 Jobs to
Salina
Plant
WICHITA, Kan. (Nov. 17, 2006) - Raytheon Aircraft
Company (RAC) recently completed phase one of a
planned production increase resulting in 35 new jobs
at its Salina manufacturing facility, with phase two
expected to add an additional 55 jobs over the next
six months.
"The addition of these new positions in Salina
reflects the strong market and our plans to increase
aircraft delivery rates heading into 2007," said Jim
Schuster, chairman and CEO. "The committed and
focused workforce in Salina is critical to the success
of our business. We are delighted to be adding jobs
to this important operation."
The Salina Airport Authority was instrumental in
helping to secure economic development funding to
support the renovations of RAC's facilities in Salina to
accommodate these new positions.
Raytheon Aircraft designs, manufactures, markets
and supports Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft for the
world's commercial and military markets.
