Air Midwest  was forced to reduce its Salina schedule from 4 to 2 daily flights following the tragic events of September 11, 2001.  The resumption of a 3rd flight will provide Salina and North Central Kansas airline travelers with much needed frequency and make air travel out of the Salina Airport more convenient.  Salina Area Chamber of Commerce President, Gerald Cook commented, "The addition of a third flight will help Salina area business and industry travel to a variety of destinations to service customers, make sales and keep our local economy growing.
