Salina, Kan. (June 14, 2006) The Salina
Airport Authority has named Laura Robertson as Public
Relations and Marketing Specialist.
Robertson joined the Salina Airport after a number of years
in marketing and public relations. She obtained her Journalism
and Mass Communications degree with an option in Public
Relations from Kansas State University in 1991. Robertson was
formerly the Campaign and Communications Director for Salina
Area United Way.
 In her new
position, she will work with the Authority's consultants to
implement a national marketing and recruiting program for the
Salina Aviation Service Center. She has been charged with
increasing the visibility of the Salina Airport Authority's
many attributes with industry decision makers and site
selectors.
Robertson will work with aviation trade magazines to
promote the Salina Municipal Airport as America's Fuel Stop.
Salina is a popular fuel stop because of its mid-continent
location, great customer service and amenities that keep
business jets, regional airliners and military aircraft coming
back. She also assists the growing tenant base of the Salina
Airport Industrial Center as marketing opportunities arise.
The Industrial Center is attractive to thriving local and
national businesses.
Salina Municipal Airport is home base for numerous aviation
businesses and operations. These include America Jet,
Aerospace Systems & Technologies, Inc., EagleMed air
ambulance, Kansas Wing Headquarters - Civil Air Patrol, Flower
Aviation, Kansas Army National Guard Aviation Support

Tower logs more than 86,000 annual aircraft operations. Two
