Awards in Excellence!

The Salina Airport Authority is proud to recognize the achievements of the businesses and organizations located within the Salina Airport Industrial Center. 

During the 2001 Powder and Bulk Solids Exposition in Chicago (May 8-10, 2001) Salina Vortex corporation was honored by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers through their Chemical Engineering Process Magazine as a recipient of one of their five "Best in Show Awards."  This award recognizes outstanding new products introduced at this year's Powder Show. 

Salina Vortex received the award for their new Seal Tite Gravity Diverter.  The Seal Tite Gravity Diverter is unique in the fact that it was engineered to address the problems inherent to traditional flapper style diverters that have been on the market for many years.

Salina Vortex manufacturers slide gates and diverter valves for handling dry bulk material.  Their products are used throughout North America and in twenty-two foreign countries.
