Raytheon Aircraft Company has extended its partnership with
the Salina Airport Authority another five years until the year
2012. Raytheon's Salina Division manufactures wings for many
of the company's new aircraft models.
 "The Salina Airport
Authority is pleased that an original equipment manufacturer
of Raytheon Aircraft's caliber has chosen to extend its
presence on the Salina Airport into the next decade," said Tim
Rogers, AAE, the authority's executive director.
At their meeting last Wednesday, the Salina Airport
Authority Board of Directors accepted the five-year extension
to Raytheon's lease agreement, which has 15 additional 5-year
options through the year 2087. "Our relationship with Raytheon
Aircraft is yet another example of the value that the Salina
Municipal Airport can bring to aerospace companies," Rogers
added, noting that Salina is aggressively recruiting
international aerospace businesses to its SLN Aviation Service
Center.
Raytheon Aircraft designs, manufactures, markets and
supports Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft for the world's
commercial and military markets. Its Salina Division
manufactures wings for the company's Beechcraft line of
aircraft. The Raytheon Aircraft - Salina Division employs more
than 350 employees who occupy more than 480,000 square feet of
manufacturing space on the airport.

Company-Salina Division, the Salina Municipal Airport is home
base for numerous aviation businesses and operations. These
include America Jet at SLN, Aerospace Systems &
Technologies, Inc., EagleMed air ambulance, Kansas Wing
Headquarters - Civil Air Patrol, Flower Aviation, Kansas Army
National Guard Aviation Support Facility,Kansas State

The SLN Aviation Service Center has available hangar space
and room for growth to accommodate a wide array of aviation
related industries. The SLN Air Traffic Control Tower logs
more than 86,000 annual aircraft operations. Two FBOs annually
deliver over 4 million gallons of aviation fuel to the
aircraft using the Salina Municipal Airport. For more
