Lift off from the Salina Municipal Airport a Success!

Salina, Kan. March 1, 2005

At approximately 18:47 CST on Monday, February 28, the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer left the runway at the Salina Municipal Airport with record-setting pilot Steve Fossett at the controls en-route for the non- stop, non-refueled circumnavigation of the globe.
