Air Midwest, Inc., operating at KSLN as US Airways
Express has available a special $99 round-trip fare on
flights between Salina and the Kansas City
International Airport during the month of February for
use in conjunction with the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer
world flight.

community's involvement in pilot Steve Fossett's

The Salina Municipal Airport was selected as the
launch site for the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer record
attempt because of its geographic location, excellent
runway and facilities, and the community's spirit and
positive attitude. The Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer
Mission Control will also be based in Salina on the
campus of Kansas State University at Salina.
